I’ll be attempting to run occasional giveaways (only after a challenge goal is accomplished) initially via my little used Twitch channel (which is more for viewing/testing things since I am not really a content creator) to determine if that will be a viable method for conducting such giveaways with a minimal amount of friction.
Since this didn’t work out, I’m simply going to donate to causes that I’ve worked with before (All Hands and Hearts, Habitat for Humanity, Sakura Line 311, and World Wildlife Fund will be the primary recipients). The 3 western based charities are all 4-star (99%) rated on Charity Navigator.

THE TOTAL LENGTH OF TIME BEING A CHANNEL FOLLOWER WILL BE THE ONLY METRIC THAT WILL INCREASE THOSE CHANCES AND DETERMINE THE FINAL VALUE OF THAT GIFT CARD. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
PROMOTION DESCRIPTION: The Twitch Follower Amazon E-Gift Card Giveaway will depend on one thing. It will ONLY begin IF the channel reaches 250 followers by January 1, 2026 (once all time zones are in the New Years) and will consist of 10 random drawings for a $25 (minimum) Amazon E-Gift Card which will be delivered via e-mail to the eligible winners once they’ve acknowledged their selection as a potential winner within the set deadline (below). E-gift cards (amounts which will be rounded up) for other regions currency will be determined by the exchange rate for the day the winner has confirmed they were selected. (CONDITIONS NOT MET).
The sponsor of this giveaway is Murasama•net (‘Sponsor’). By participating in this giveaway, each Entrant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply with and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor is responsible for the collection, submission or processing of Entries and the overall administration of the giveaway. Entrants should look solely to Sponsor with any questions, comments or problems related to the giveaway (not Amazon or Twitch).
ELIGIBILITY: Open to legal residents of the United States (Amazon.com), Canada (Amazon.ca), France (Amazon.fr), Germany (Amazon.de), Italy (Amazon.it), Japan (Amazon.jp), Spain (Amazon.es), and the UK (Amazon.co.uk) who are 18 years of age (the ‘Entrant’). The digital gift cards are redeemable only for each specific regional Amazon site (users in a different country who are able to purchase from a specific regional site are responsible for insuring they will be able to redeem that gift card code for their use). Amazon Australia (Amazon.com.au) unfortunately does not allow me to send an e-gift card via e-mail delivery (else I would gladly include those from the ANZ/Oceania region).
Sponsor, and their respective administrators, moderators, subsidiaries, affiliates, distributors, retailers, sales representatives, advertising and promotion agencies and each of their respective officers, directors and employees (the ‘Promotion Entities’), are ineligible to enter the giveaway or win a prize. Household Members and Immediate Family Members of such individuals are also not eligible to enter or win. ‘Household Members’ shall mean those people who share the same residence at least three months a year. ‘Immediate Family Members’ shall mean parents, step-parents, legal guardians, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. This giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations in the United States and is void where prohibited or restricted by law.
If this follower goal isn’t achieved by January 1, 2026 (once all timezones are in the new year), this challenge will be considered a failure and the giveaway will be deemed null and void.
HOW TO ENTER: Entering the giveaway simply requires that you be a follower of my Twitch channel (https://twitch.tv/lordmurasama); the account must be in good standing during the Promotion Period (which begins a week after the initial 250 followers is reached by January 1, 2026 once all timezones are in the 2026 new year; as of this entry, the channel has 128 followers). While it shouldn’t have to be written, accounts with any actions on them (warnings, timeouts and bans) will be ineligible.
Automated or robotic Entries such as spamming the channel with follows will be disqualified if Sery_Bot deems those as a follow bot train/bans those accounts from the channel. Channel follows must be made by the Entrant. Any attempt by Entrant to obtain more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations, logins or any other methods, including, but not limited to, commercial contest/sweepstakes subscription notification and/or entering services, will void Entrant’s Entries and that Entrant may be disqualified. Final eligibility for the award of any prize is subject to eligibility verification as set forth below. Sponsor’s database clock (Pacific) will be the official timekeeper for this giveaway (except for the January 1, 2026 date for reaching 250 channel followers to even begin this giveaway).
WINNER SELECTION: The 10 Winners of this giveaway will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible Entries received throughout the Promotion Period. This random drawing will be conducted within 7 days after the Promotion Period by Sponsor or its designated representatives, whose decisions are final. Odds of winning will vary depending on the number of eligible Entries received (this includes the total length of a time this account has been following the channel).
What is an eligible entry? Every month as a channel follower will be considered an entry (eg. an account that has been following the channel for 24 months will receive 24 entries). Anyone who is a channel follower before the date of the drawing is announced, will receive an additional entry as a bonus. The date on the Twitch user profile card (!followage command) will be used. Accounts that unfollow/refollow will not be able to use their previous follow date(s) since the Sponsor does not keep track of that information (and will not rely on other sources).
Additionally, the total gift card amount to be awarded (which could result in multiple gift card codes being sent) will be multiplied by each month the account has been following the channel. This channel was created in November 2013 and could total over $3,600 if someone who has been following since the beginning, ends up being selected. And if by chance, 10 winners happen to be selected from having followed in that same time period, over $36,500 could be sent out in gift cards (the chances of that actually happening is close to impossible though since this account had less than 50 followers until 2024 – which is why I said IF this account ever reaches 250 followers to even start this giveaway). I’m conducting this initial one to see if Twitch will even be a viable method with minimal friction. If this works, I will continue doing this at specific milestones where the only requirement is being a follower of the account in good standing.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winners will be first contacted via Twitch direct messaging via a contest giveaway account (Murasama_Giveaway). While I personally do not like using the Twitch direct messaging system, this will be the most effective method where I can directly get into contact with the accounts that were selected. Winners will be asked to temporarily follow that account for the purpose of #1) acknowledging they’ve been selected and #2) providing a valid e-mail address to receive the Amazon e-gift code in their Amazon store region. I will NOT be using Discord, instant messaging, any other social media account DM.
Winners will have 7 days (168 hours) to perform this confirmation and provision of a valid e-mail address (to receive their Amazon e-gift card code) once contacted via this contest giveaway account on Twitch, before someone else is randomly selected. Sponsor is not responsible for any delay or failure to receive notification for any reason, including inactive account(s), technical difficulties associated therewith, or Winner’s failure to adequately monitor any account for this communication.
Any winner notification not responded to or returned as undeliverable may result in forfeiture of the giveaway. In certain jurisdictions (should the e-gift award exceed the allowed limits in those cases where the multiplier effect increases the card amount beyond a certain value), the potential winner may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and release of liability (certain states in the U.S. have local regulations). No substitution or transfer is permitted except by the Sponsor.
PRIVACY: Any personal information (such as the e-mail address to have the gift codes delivered to) supplied by you will be subject to the privacy policy of the Sponsor posted on the Sponsor’s website. Because privacy is a very big deal to the Sponsor, that e-mail address information will never be shared or sold period. It’s sole purpose is for delivering the e-gift card codes and nothing more. It is highly recommended that winners use something like iCloud+ “Hide my e-mail” or any other type of limited use e-mail addresses. I am running this because I have the ability to do so/as a way of giving back.
LIMITATION of LIABILITY: By entering, You agree to release and hold harmless Murasama•net and its subsidiaries, affiliates, promotion agencies, partners, representatives, agents, successors, employees, officers, and directors from any liability, illness, injury, death, loss, litigation, claim, or damage that may occur, directly or indirectly, whether caused by negligence or not, from: (i) such entrant’s participation in the giveaway and/or his/her acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any prize or any portion thereof; (ii) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software, or other mechanical equipment; (iii) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, telephone, or Internet service; (iv) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Promotion; (v) electronic or human error in the administration of the Promotion or the processing of entries.
DISPUTES: This giveaway IS GOVERNED BY THE LAWS OF United States, WITHOUT RESPECT TO CONFLICT OF LAW DOCTRINES. As a condition of participating in this giveaway, participant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this giveaway, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in the state of California in the United States. Furthermore, in any such dispute, under no circumstances shall participant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to, punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees. Participant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
